As a Peer Counselor, you will provide guidance, emotional support, and resources to individuals facing personal challenges. You will play a key role in fostering a supportive environment where individuals can feel heard, validated, and encouraged.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-on-one counseling support to peers
  2. Listen actively and empathetically, offering advice and support
  3. Refer individuals to additional resources and professionals when necessary.
  4. Maintain strict confidentiality in all interactions and adhere to ethical guidelines.
  5. Participate in regular training sessions to develop counseling and crisis management skills.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Psychology (Final year students are welcome)
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen attentively and respond with empathy
  3. Ability to commit to the full duration of the program (6 months)
  4. Willing to give availability time 4 hours per week
