As a Peer Counselor, you will provide guidance, emotional support, and resources to individuals facing personal challenges. You will play a key role in fostering a supportive environment where individuals can feel heard, validated, and encouraged.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one counseling support to peers
- Listen actively and empathetically, offering advice and support
- Refer individuals to additional resources and professionals when necessary.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all interactions and adhere to ethical guidelines.
- Participate in regular training sessions to develop counseling and crisis management skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology (Final year students are welcome)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen attentively and respond with empathy
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the program (6 months)
- Willing to give availability time 4 hours per week
